America’s Tennis sensation Frances Tiafoe was delighted after securing his final berth in Vienna Open. Tiafoe, who has been living on the edge, went past Jannik Sinner by 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in the semifinal on Saturday. Tiafoe admitted that it is a huge win for him and he will now look to win the tournament.

Tiafoe has bounced back from a losing position throughout the week and deserves his place in the final. The American was 0-3 down against Stefanos Tsitsipas and then trailed by 5-1 in the second set against Diego Schwartzmann.

The same story continued in the semifinal contest against the Italian as Tiafoe was down 2-5 in the second set but once again bounced back in style to book his berth in the final after battling for two hours and 18 minutes.

Tiafoe admitted that the crowd which made a big difference for him and they gave him the energy to bring his best to the table.

“It has been a long week for me,” Tiafoe said. “I tried to have fun with it and get the crowd involved and could see if he would get a little nervous. I know how to get the crowd behind me, few jokes and that and then I started to play unbelievably. The crowd made the difference. I felt because of them I started to lock in harder.”

“It is huge [to be in the final]. I have played some great tennis all week and now I want to win the tournament,” Tiafoe added.

Tiafoe was able to end Sinner’s seven-match winning streak and he was at his best against the youngster. The American will take on Alexander Zverev in the final on Sunday.
