It is not always easy to get the best out of the best players as they are always looking to improve themselves and are always hungry for more wins. Novak Djokovic has set his benchmark higher in the last decade and he is currently in red-hot form.
The Serbian recently clinched his 20th Grand slam title by defeating Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the Wimbledon final in four sets. This was Djokovic’s third Grand slam title of the current season as he has won all the majors of the ongoing year thus far.
Djokovic is looking unstoppable and he is playing at a different level now. Meanwhile, Djokovic’s coach Goran Ivanisevic has admitted that coaching the World No.1 is a very stressful job.
“To be honest, it is very stressful. People think my job with Novak is easy, but it is not. I give you my job for one week and you see if you are going to give me back my job or not,” Ivanisevic told Tennis.com.
“It is great to work with such a great athlete and player, but very demanding also. A final is not good enough. You need to win. We only count victories. We only count Slams.
“That is huge stress. But I choose that. I love it. It pushes me to learn more and be a better coach and a better person. I really enjoy it.”
Djokovic is known to give more than 100% in the training sessions, which helps him during the high-octane matches. The Serbian is known to get the best out of himself in the high pressure situations and a lot of credit also goes to Goran Ivanisevic, who has been able to get the best out of Djokovic.
The Serbian has started gearing up for the Tokyo Olympics and he will be eyeing to win the Golden slam in 2021.
