Kyren Wilson will face stiff opposition on his quest to win the title as he comes up against Stuart Bingham for a place in the semi-final of the Masters 2020 tournament.
In the first round best of 11 frames, Stuart Bingham defeated Welshman Mark Williams 6-2. The 43-year-old Bingham has never found it easy to win titles since he began his professional snooker career in 1995.
He won his first ranking title at the 2011 Australian Goldfields Open and his second ranking title win was at the 2014 Shanghai Masters. Bingham went on to win the World Championship in 2015, and the Gibraltar Open in 2019. He is currently ranked 16th in the world and is a firm favorite to win the encounter with Kyren Wilson.
Kyren Wilson has been on blistering form in the tournament. He began by coming from 2-0 down to secure a 6-2 win in the first round of the Dafabet Masters, beating Jack Lisowski in a very interesting game.
Stuart Bingham scored an easy 6-2 victory over Mark Williams to move to the quarter-finals of the Dafabet Masters at Alexandra Palace. Now he’s up against a formidable opponent in Bingham.
Kyren, “The Warrior” Wilson, will, however, be everyone’s favourite to reach the semi-final. The 28-year-old has been a constant top performer since he began playing professional snooker in 2010. With three ranking titles to his name, which includes the Six-red World Championship and the German Masters, he could well win the 2020 Masters.
The match will definitely be a crunch tie and will excite many snooker fans worldwide. The winner between Kyren Wilson and Stuart Bingham will face whoever wins between Stephen Maguire and David Gilbert.
