This weekend, we would witness the first of the last two races of the season, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. This race is very important as it would give us an idea of who would win this year’s world championship title.

The rivalry this season has been tough and exciting, and we expect things to be much more interesting going forward. The Saudi Arabian GP, the first edition, would take place on the brand-new Jeddah street circuit.

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have both been exceptional this season. But this weekend, we expect to see them in another light, as they race for the world title. Verstappen leads the leaderboard with eight points, even though Hamilton won the last two races.

Speaking of Hamilton, his performance in the last two races have been one of his best ever. After taking a 25-grid place penalty at the Brazilian GP, he still came back to win it. Two weeks ago at the Qatar Grand Prix, he started as P1 and maintained the lead till the finish line. His car is the fastest in on the track and he has been pushing himself to the limit, knowing just how good his rival is.

Verstappen has had an amazing season, with 9 wins and having lead the most laps so far. With his Red Bull car, he has positioned himself as a title contender and he is quite close to getting it. He currently leads with eight points but there is no telling how things might play out this weekend, if his lead increases or gets swallowed. In Qatar, Verstappen gave Hamilton a hot chase as he tried to get the lead but his car could not outperform the Mercedes’ beast.

Verstappen currently has the upper hand, as whether he finishes first or second, he would still have the lead. For Hamilton to snatch the lead, he would have to finish first and also win fastest lap, which is not impossible but a bit tough.

We can only wait to see how things play out over the weekend, such as who wins pole or if any of the two would be given a penalty leading to the race on Sunday.
