Red Bull continues leaderboard dominance with 12th straight win

Red Bull set a new record on Sunday at the Hungarian Grand Prix after Max Verstappen eased into victory for the 9th time this season. The win marked Red Bull’s 12th straight win, setting a new record that was once held by McLaren after achieving 11 wins in a row in 1988.

Red Bull’s 12th straight win goes back all the way to the last race of last year at Abu Dhabi. Since then, they have won all the races this season, with Sergio Perez winning 2 out of the 11. Verstappen leads the driver standings with 281 points, that’s 100 points more than Perez, who is in second place with 171 points. Red Bull’s 452 team points solidify their position for a second consecutive constructor cup.

So far, it is quite clear that Red Bull is winning all medals this session. With 11 races left for the year, it is impossible that any other team would prove to be a challenge for the team. Ferrari, who came close last year, is yet to make a mark this season. Mercedes’ sudden decline, which began last year, has shown no sign of improvement. Although Lewis Hamilton started Sunday’s race in pole position, it was of no use as he finished fourth.

For the remainder of the season, we may see Red Bull breaking existing records or even setting new ones. They have what it takes to win every race this season, and Verstappen looks determined to break his record of most wins in a season after winning 15 races last year.

What Red Bull does with the rest of the season remains to be seen. But at this point, they have the comfortable lead, and there’s very little pressure in terms of a world championship title or constructor cup, thanks to an impressive start to the season.
