Floyd Mayweather Defends Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown’s antics off the field have cost him a job in the NFL. His behavior in the last year is why teams are avoiding the talented wide receiver, despite knowing that he is an incredible talent when he focuses on playing. Brown does have an ally in undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather is controversial as well, so he relates to what AB’s state of mind can be and what he has gone through. He also believes that team should support Brown somehow, offering help instead of keeping him out of the league. The multi-time world champion said that Brown is too talented and that the NFL should give him another chance.

TMZ interviewed Mayweather recently and asked him about Antonio Brown:

“They need to let you play in the NFL, man. They need to stop worrying about what you do on the outside. You can get arrested 40 times, 50 times” Mayweather said. “Do that got something to do with you catching the ball or what you doing on the field?”

Floyd Mayweather clearly knows his football as he then mentioned how Tom Brady being open to playing with Brown again means that the wideout has a lot of talent. He is not wrong as AB has 11,263 career receiving yards and 75 career touchdowns. Mayweather then offered some advice to Brown:

“Just stay focused, you’ll get back in the NFL. You’ll get back! There’s too much talent for them to let go down the drain! We need you with the Raiders, we need something in Vegas!”
