Edon Zhegrova has revealed why he signed for the Ligue One champions at the expense of Sunday night’s opponents Marseille.
Lille completed the signing of the Kosovo international from Swiss outfit FC Basel. Before the announcement, he was being monitored by Marseille as well as a host of other clubs.
According to him, he explained that he likes Lille more than Marseille, bei9ng the reason for his decision to join the club.
Zhegrova further said it’s an opportunity to play for the Ligue 1 champions, and it was not ready to show.
Describing it as a great club. I like the way Lille play. He also said The Lille game suits me more than.
The Kosovo striker has scored before 30 the French club. The 22-year-old has 24 caps to his honour for his country.
Expressing his delight after, Zhegrova did not hide his pleasure at signing a four-and–half-year contract with the French champions after turning down the advances of Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Speaking on the future of the credit, President Olivier Létang said he has an interesting profile which is why he had several propositions.
On the new signing, Olivier Létangies said an ability to cause problems for any defence, delighted that she has had to our baby. We are delighted that he has joined Lille.
Zhegrova also said Ligue 1 is quicker and far more physical.
Lille is 10th on the Ligue 1 table, 11 points behind PSG that have maintained a high level of consistency despite the absence of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
For Lille, this might be too much burden to accept. Defending their title seems like an arduous task for them.
But from the look of things, the title might return to Paris.
With the addition of Zhegrova, the team may witness more creativity and assists as the season continues.
