Premier League side Wolves have shown interest in signing Real Sociedad forward Willian Jose on loan.
The forward has scored 62 goals in 170 appearances for Real Sociedad since joining from Real Madrid in 2016 after several loan spells away from the Santiago Bernabeau.
The Brazilian has been linked with moves to the Premier League previously but his proposed move to North London with Tottenham Hotspur in January 2020 fell through.
However, Jose could now be on his way to England as Nuno Espirito Santo wants a striker due to the uncertainty surrounding Raul Jimenez’s fitness after he suffered a fractured skull in November against Arsenal.
Since the incident on November 29 at the Emirates Stadium, Wolves has only won twice in all competitions and are 10 points above the relegation zone in 14th position.
They also lost Portuguese forward Diogo Jota in the summer as the striker moved to Liverpool permanently. Nuno Espirito Santo has been left with Daniel Podence, Pedro Neto, Patrick Cutrone, Fabio Silva, and Adama Traore as forwards since Jimenez’s injury.
Jose this season has scored six goals even though he is not a regular in the starting eleven.
Wolves will need an addition in the frontline having gotten just 2 points from their last 5 Premier League games although they have scored 7 times in those 5 matches.
Meanwhile, while Jose may be leaving Sociedad they could get Martin Odegaard back on loan after the Norwegian revealed that he would love to leave Real Madrid on loan again this season.
Odegaard spent last season on loan at the club making 31 appearances and he may be tempted with the lure of playing time which he craves for.
The Norwegian international prefers the La Liga club to Premier League side Arsenal which has shown interest in signing him on loan.
