Indications have shown that there are some reasons Paris Saint-Germaine is yet to announce Christophe Galtier as their new manager.
It is no longer news that PSG doesn’t intend to continue with Mauricio Pochettino again.
Although the French media reports that Galtier is very close to succeeding Pochettino, there are some delays on the side of both parties.
On the side of the former Spurs manager, it was gathered that PSG agreed to pay him a compensation of around 15m Euros which the Argentine wants to collect once before leaving the club.
According to reports, the Paris club intends to slash the money, and Pochettino is not ready to accept that.
As reports that this has been the brick wall between Pochettino and the club.
The former Tottenham Hotspur coach became PSG manager in January 2021. The primary task given to him was guiding the Parisians to Champions League glory.
However, he failed to move past the round of 16 after his team was eliminated by eventual winners Real Madrid.
Coming to the part of Galtier, Nice and Paris Saint-Germain are also close to reaching an agreement a sum close to 10 million euros as compensation so that manager can join the champions of France.
Meanwhile, the formalization has been placed on hold as they hoped that the departure of Mauricio Pochettino will be announced by Thursday.
This means that the date of his appointment now depends on that the formalization of the departure of Pochettino.
All fans will have to wait till at least Thursday as negotiations between the capital club and the Argentinian’s lawyer, who has a year left on his contract to finish.
It was gathered that the compensation of around €15 is the amount due to Pochettino and the four members of his backroom staff which includes Jesus Perez, Miguel D’Agostino, Toni Jimenez, and Sebastiano Pochettino.
From the look of things, Galtier is expected to be back on July 4 at Camp des Loges and begin his work as PSG manager.
