West Ham United are not done yet with their summer transfer deals as they intend to bring two more players before their Premier League season gets underway with respective deals and agreement made for midfielder James Ward-Prowse and Defender Harry Maguire.
According to the reports, West Ham United has agreed to around £30 million pounds each for both players and could be bringing in the two players to London Olympic Stadium for a total package of £60 million.
James Ward-Prowse is currently a Southampton player, as he was last season when they got relegated to the championship; he has also featured in the Saints’ opening game in the lower division.
Harry Maguire, on the other hand, is a Manchester United defender who joined from Leicester City for around £80 million in 2019, but despite a very impressive first season at the club, he has dropped in quality performance and form and was even booed by his own supporters last season.
Despite playing 30 games for Manchester United last season,n only eight of those games came as starts for the most expensive defender in the world. West Ham United boss David Moyes wants to improve his side that has lost two key players who helped them win the UEFA Europa Conference League last season Declan Rice, who joined Arsenal, and Gianluca Scammaca, who they sold to Atalanta.
The Hammers are already close to signing Edson Alvarez and have been linked to another Manchester United player Scott Mctominay who they hope to replace Declan Rice.
Last season, James Ward-Prowse scored nine goals and four assists for relegated Southampton side in the 38 games he played for them.
Harry Maguire has already been stripped of the Manchester United captaincy and given to Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes. The English defender has also dropped on the radar of Erik Ten Hag behind Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, and a host of others.
