Real Madrid’s Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior has stated that he wants to continue at the capital club side despite interest coming in from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The youngster who had a phenomenal 2021/2022 season with the La Liga champions has been linked with someone that has now shown interest in committing to a new deal with Real Madrid.
The Brazilian is one of the lowest-paid players at the Santiago Bernabeu, but with his performances last season, he is in line to get an increase with a contract extension with the club.
Vinicius Jnr’s current contract runs until 2024, but a contract renewal is imminent, and he is eager to continue at the Bernabeu.
“I will continue in the biggest club in the world. This is just the beginning. I have many things to conquer. I hope to have many trophies at the end of my career. Real represented a huge amount of pressure, but I had the help of Benzema, Marcelo, and Casemiro, who are very experienced players. I have always been evolving. This season was good, so I hope the next one will be better.” Vinicius Jnr said.
Vinicius remains under contract at Madrid until June 2024, but according to reports, he will soon be signing a new deal.
Vinicius junior helped Real Madrid to their 14t UEFA Champions League title and the La Liga title scoring 22 goals in 52 games in all competitions last season.
It marked a remarkable season for the youngster and his best-ever season since moving from Flamengo in 2018.
He scored the winning goal in the 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final played at the Stade De France in May.
He has already won two La Liga titles, Supercopa de Espana and the UEFA Champions League once.
