La Liga side Villarreal have completed the signing of Former Spurs defender Serge Aurier on a one-year deal with a potential of further extension.

Villarreal manager Unai Emery revealed after the game on Sunday that winning the game was key as they are a direct rival.
“We knew this match was key because it is against a direct rival. Last year, these matches against direct opponents were great experience. Winning today, even though it’s a long season, was important. The team is very focused. Without a striker, we tried to find a structure where we were comfortable.” Emery said.
Villarreal’s next game in the La Liga will be against Osasuna on the 17th of October after the international break.
