With club football coming to a halt during the weekend and ushering in the World piece show event in Qatar, Celtic has so far, in the first half of the season, shown grit and determination to showcase another solid start for the season.
Celtic head into the first half of the campaign with a 2-1 win over Ross County during the weekend. This result made the Hoops stretch their lead with a nine-point gap over rivals Rangers.
Postecoglou’s side made sure they continued their domineering league start with 13 wins out of 14 games which is an exceptional, impressive accomplishment with just a single loss across the previous year.
The Hoops style of play has been complex for opponents to contain, especially with the quick passes and relentless pressing attitude.
Now, Celtic star David Turnbull has revealed his side will not show any signs of slowing down after the World cup break, as he insists his side will resume domestic activities much stronger.
Speaking after the game against Ross County, the midfielder conveyed a strong message with the stance that there is more to come from the defending champions after the break.
“it is with high hopes that there will be more improvements from our team after the break. We must hope the rest of the guys return healthy and in complete shape when the season begins again.”
Turnbull added that he believes the break will do the team better as there are still plenty of challenges to face till the very end.
“It’s not going to be easy. But we will be prepared to overcome every hassle when we resume. We will be back stronger than before.” He added.
This message shows there’s a will and determination in the team, and the Celtic manager will surely be aware of what needs to be done for a solid end to the campaign.
