Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel says he would like to work with PSG star Kylian Mbappe again.
Mbappe, already enmeshed in contract controversy with the Paris club, will be a free agent in June. He will also be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club of his choice if he decides not to extend his current deal with PSG.
Having stated earlier in the season that he won’t be signing a new deal and won’t leave the club until his contract ends, Mbappe has been highly favoured to join his dream club.
But Spanish had last week reported that Les Merengues have decided not to move for the Frenchman. The club recently announced new extension for Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eduardo Camavinga with the aim of using them as building blocks for the future.
Looking at how both Vinicius and Rodrygo are firing from all cylinders, Madrid may not go for Kylian Mbappe. Although Madrid remains a financially bold club to handle the sign-on fees and other financial commitments that could make them sign Mbappe, the club seemed to be satisfied with their front line.
This made Tuchel jokingly say on Canal + that Mbappé will play for the Allianz Arena outfit.
“Yes, he will play for us. Kylian is Kylian, he is very intelligent!
“We had a good relationship. If he wants to come to Bayern, I will personally go and get him.
“When he wants something, he gets it. “The former Chelsea coach added.
Tuchel was with the Ligue Champions for two seasons before being sacked.
PSG had ended the week on a high note with a 3-0 win at Reims, courtesy of a hatrick from Mbappe.
PSG are at the summit of the Ligue 1 table with 27 points from 12 games, just a point above OGC Nice.
What’s left for the team is how they will cope once Mbappe departs next summer.
