Brazil are through to the Copa America final after a 2-0 win over Argentina and head coach Tite was quick to praise opening scorer Gabriel Jesus after the match.
Jesus broke the deadlock on 19 minutes when he sidefooted in a low cross from Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, who grabbed the second in the 71st minute.
Tite feels the Manchester City striker can still improve further but he was delighted with the 22-year-old’s contribution in the win over Argentina.
“Gabriel impresses all the professionals that work with him because he never gives up,” said Tite.
“People tell him ‘you just have to put up with the pain and run,’ and that’s what I asked him to do.
“He has to refine his solutions and he has to evolve because he’s young, but if I ask him to shoot 50 times, he’ll do 51.
“This capacity of persistence and his quest for something is his trademark.” Host nation Brazil will face either Chile or Peru in the final.
Two-time defending champions Chile are 1.91 to win their semi-final clash, a draw is 3.30 and Peru can be backed at 4.50.
Brazil are 1.25 to win the Copa America outright, while Selecao stars Firmino and Philippe Coutinho both have two goals so far and are 6.00 to be the tournament’s top goalscorer.
