Following Muller’s contract extension that will see him remain at the club till 2023, the German international is set to spend the rest of his best playing career at Bayern before moving elsewhere or calling it quits on his playing career.
Muller has been part of the Bavarians since 2008 and was among the phenomenal squad the club has produced after winning seven back to back Bundesliga titles, one Champions League and four DFB Pokals.
Speaking at an exclusive interview Muller told reporters that there have a lot of wonderful memories at Bayern and many will have different opinions as to which moment was the best.
“I feel the golden era hasn’t come to an end just yet. The most important thing to keep this club ambition going is continuous success and I hope this current side can achieve that if they want to remember in the history books f the club.” He said.
To some, the early part of ten years ago [2010] was one of the great generations in the Bavarians history as Muller played alongside the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Phillip Lahm, Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and Manuel Neuer [who is close to agreeing a new deal with the club]. One of their historic moments was when they won the historic treble while Jupp Heynckes was still in charge but Muller revealed that shouldn’t be the end of a golden era as he said there’s still more to come from this current side.
Fast forward to this moment Muller is currently thriving and enjoying his current form under manager Hansi Flick who has just signed a new deal and continues to have faith in Muller who has tucked in 10 goals with 19 assist across all competitions.
