Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca has signed a contract renewal with the Serie A club.
This development means Sassuolo have put a dent in Inter and AC Milan’s pursuit to sign him this summer.
The 23-year-old Italian striker has become one of the most exciting youngsters in Serie A
Being such a huge talent, he seems destined for a move to a big club soon.
Some had said he could replace Ciro immobile in the Italian national team, revitalising the squad with young talent.
According to the club via a statement, Scamacca has renewed his contract with the club until 2026.
This latest development put Neroverdi in a strong negotiating position ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, it won’t be a surprise if they sell him and cash in on him. They are expected to get a huge amount off the young striking sensation.
Inter has been placed in pole position to secure his signature in the summer. The Nerazzurri could still sign him as the contract renewal hasn’t changed this. The new deal is expected to force them to pay more for his signature.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are also keen to pick him up but are less likely to sign him than their intercity rivals.
Meanwhile, La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Daniel Maldini is among the players Milan could offer to Sassuolo to lower their demands for Scamacca or Hamed Traoré.
The Diavolo are interested in several Neroverdi stars. According to the pink paper, Traoré is now also on their agenda for the summer.
The young talent has developed massively under Alessio Dionisi. He has this season scored eight goals and made four assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.
The pink paper further reports that Milan and Sassuolo directors will meet after Easter to discuss the duo.
Till then, he remains a Sassuolo player who could keep improving game after game.
