The deal between Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli seems to have stalled over the valuation of Victor Osimhen.
Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal, Saudi Arabia’s top clubs, have reignited their interest in the striker while Osimhen already has personal terms sorted with the Ligue 1 champions.
Therefore, the Nigeria international wants to stay in Europe and is waiting to join PSG.
While Osimhen continues preseason with Napoli, he will join the team in Castel Di Sangro for the second part of preparation while waiting for a move to PSG.
According to Corriere dello Sport, a move to the French capital is now a priority for Osimhen. However, things seem to be moving in an unfavorable direction as the French giants need to sell Gonçalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani before tendering an official offer to Napoli.
PSG are unlikely to pay the entire €130m clause, but Napoli will look for at least €100m.
However, meeting Napoli’s valuation is not a big deal for the Saudi duo. Il Corriere dello Sport reported that both sides are waiting for the developments of PSG talks with Osimhen before making a formal bid.
Having agreed to sign a five-year deal worth €14m per season, Osimhen could wait for a longer time as he seems not to be interested in a move to Saudi.
Since the Partenopei and their new coach, Antonio Conte, are prepared to part company with the Nigerian forward, and PSG seem unwilling to match Osi’s €130m clause, there is a need to find a common ground. PSG is ready to pay €100m and include one of their players in the deal.
According to Sky Sport Italia, PSG wanted to include Carlos Soler, ex-RB Leipzig full-back Nordi Mukiele, and attacker Lee Kang-in in the deal, but the duo turned down the offer.
Conte has already identified Chelsea outcast Romelu Lukaku as the ideal replacement for Osimhen at the Stadio Maradona, and the Italian is waiting for decisions to be made on time for him.
