Roy Keane feels Manchester United has not improved at all, despite the apologies from the players after defeat

Manchester United suffered a gut-wrenching 4-0 defeat against Liverpool in the Premier League. It was surely a demoralizing defeat for the Red Devils as Ralf Rangnick’s men are still looking to fight for top four finish.

However, the Red Devils simply got outplayed by Mohamed Salah and company as they never looked threatening to score a goal back. After the horrifying result former Manchester United captain Roy Keans finds issues with several players.

Ahead of the game, Harry Maguire also spoke about his form and how he would not have been picked by Rangnick if his form is not there. But Kean feels that those words from Maguire before the game are of no use if the team concedes four goals against their rivals and with him having a shocking display.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the 4-0 drubbing, Kean said, “Defensively, we’re trying to help Maguire out, before the match trying to give out PR, the last goal Maguire – his passing and his defending is not acceptable, not good enough for Man United. We’re going to use that word again, talk about a rebuilding job at Man United.”

Questions must be raised against Marcus Rashford aswell who is tipped to leave the club since Fabrizio Romano stated that the former Untied skipper is not happy with his conditions at Old Trafford.

Looking at the entire situation Roy Keane was fuming even more. He shared how Jesse Lingard came on to save the Red Devils, someone who he feels is not good enough to don the club’s jersey and should have left two years ago. He even called out Rashford for playing like a child.

“Rashford’s performance upfront. Jesse Lingard coming on to save Man United, Jesse Lingard should’ve left the club two years ago, he’s not good enough, Rashford played like a child upfront he wasn’t getting service but he was getting it in the first-half where you’re through on goal a poor touch.”

Manchester United are far from the club they once were and every time they lost this season the players have often apologised in front of the media to the fans. Kean is irritated with the number of times he has heard apologies but has not seen any improvement in their game. In fact, things have even gone downhill for the Red Devils with this defeat.

“We’ve heard it so many times this season, so many times. It is difficult when you’ve been beaten and you’ve got to front up to the media, we’re hearing the same stuff all the time ‘we need to be a team, we need to do better’ but we’re not seeing it,” Keane concluded.

Manchester United is all set to take a trip to North London as they will face Arsenal, hoping to keep their top four hopes alive.
