According to the latest transfer reports from France, Premier League side Arsenal might have to return after 12 months to sign Rennes’ Lesley Ugochukwu.
The France youth international is a great prospect that the English club would want to be part of their project. But as things start, he might remain at his present club for the rest of this season.
18-year-old Ugochukwu is seen as the next top young talent developed in France that could make an impact in the world.
Arsenal is known as one of the best breeding grounds for talented youngsters, and Ugochukwu was tipped to join them.
According to L’Equipe, Mikel Arteta’s side has an interest in him and could make him the next Patrick Vieira.
However, After the arrival of Fabio Vieira at the Emirate Stadium, their interest seems to have cooled in recent months.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are still also monitoring Leicester midfielder, Youri Tielemans, who could also join them before this window closes.
But if they intend to sign Ugochukwu, they might have to return with a bid next summer.
Being an important member of the squad, the youngster will, according to reports, stay at Rennes for the rest of this season.
In another development, Inter Milan defender, Milan Skriniar, will prefer a move to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain rather than Chelsea
This is following the latest reports that say the defender has reportedly rejected a move to Chelsea.
The French giants have been keen on the defender that is part of the Inter Milan squad that won two trophies last season.
Skriniar currently has a year left on his current deal at Inter.
L’Equipe reports that Skriniar has now confirmed that he has chosen PSG as his preferred destination this summer after initially hesitating between the French Ligue 1 champions and Chelsea.
It is therefore expected that PSG will tender a reasonable offer that will see the defender move to Par De Princes.
