Vinicius Jnr scored a brace as Real Madrid beat Shakthar Donetsk 5-0 in Ukraine to return to winning ways after a three-match winless run.
Real had won their first UEFA Champions League game this season against Inter Milan but the next European game against Sheriff Tiraspol was a shocker with a 2-1 loss.
Having being held to a 0-0 draw by Villarreal the game before, Real completed a trio of winless game with a 2-0 loss to Espanyol in the La Liga.
Real went into the game fresher than their Ukrainian opponents as their La Liga game was postponed.
The first goal came from an own goal in the 37th minute of the first half but the flurry of goals came in the second half.
Vinicius Jnr’s first came in the 51st minute while he completed his brace five minutes later. The Brazilian then provided for Rodrygo’s goal nine minutes later.
Karim Benzema left it late after scoring in the 91st minute to make it five in the game where the Spaniards recorded a clean sheet.
The win levels Carlo Ancelotti’s side with Sheriff Tiraspol on the top of the table with 6 points after the Moldovan side lost 3-1 in Italy to Inter Milan.
In Madrid, Antoine Griezmann scored a brace and got sent off in a 3-2 loss to Liverpool.
Milner, Salah, and Naby Keita were on target for the Reds on the night.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday Barcelona will be hoping to get their first win of the UEFA Champions League against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev.
The Catalonians lost 3-0 to Bayern Munich before another 3-0 loss to Benfica in the second game.
Sevilla will travel to French side Lille while Young Boys host Villarreal.
