“The Benzema thing does not seem serious at all, but I do not think it will be available for Tuesday, Karim has had a problem, it bothered him a little and it didn’t I think [he will be there] for Tuesday, but maybe for Sunday, yes,” Ancelotti said.
Real Madrid will face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League in their next game before facing Atletico Madrid in the Spanish La Liga next weekend.
The Los Blancos have 39 points from 16 games and 8 points more than Sevilla and 9 more than Real Betis. However, they are ten points above defending champions Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone’s side lost to a last minute goal from Takefusa Kubo who is on loan from Real Madrid. Matheus Cunha gave the Wanda metropolitano side the lead before Franco Russo equalised.
Meanwhile, Barcelona lost to Real Betis by 1-0 on Saturday, inflicting Xavi’s first La Liga defeat as Barcelona coach. Athletico Madrid also lost 2-1 at home to Mallorca.
