Reports in Spanish media indicate that Real Madrid could finalize the deal to bring Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu for next season this week.
The Los Blancos are extremely confident that the French forward will announce his decision to leave PSG any moment from now.
Kylian Mbappe was sighted in Madrid last week with indications of about a possible move to Real Madrid. The forward is out of contract at PSG in the summer, but the French champions are hopeful they could convince the World Cup winner to stay.
Real Madrid are already on the move to sign players, having agreed on a deal to bring German defender Anthony Rudiger to the Santiago Bernabeu after running out of contract at Chelsea.
Mbappe is represented by his parents, but he is still in charge of what decisions he makes. PSG are also ready to offer him 150M euros in sign-on fees in a bid to convince him to stay.
The 23-year-old is set to team up with the French national team for the nations league in June, but Real Madrid expects a positive response before that time.
Meanwhile, English forward Gareth Bale is set for a return to England based on reports from his agent. Bale had endured a torrid last couple of seasons, having been at Tottenham on loan last season, and have only featured five times in the La Liga for the Los Blancos.
Jonathan Barnett, who is the player’s agent, stated that Bale would leave Real Madrid, but the decision will be highly dependent on Wales’ 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier.
He then revealed that a move back to England is not a far-fetched idea.
“Is it more likely to return to England? I think so, but we’ll have to wait and see if Wales qualifies for the World Cup.” Barnett was quoted.
