Reports in Spain indicate that Real Madrid are set to sign English midfielder Jude Bellingham on a six-year deal in the summer. The 19-year-old has been linked with the biggest clubs in Europe and had Liverpool and Manchester City seeking his signature.
However, Liverpool pulled out of the race to sign him last month, leaving the Los Blancos having Manchester City to deal with. The decision to send representatives to go have discussions with the former Birmingham midfielder has proved successful, with the progress made on his deal.
Meanwhile, an official bid hasn’t been made to Dortmund by Real Madrid, but it is quite public that the player is highly interested in moving to the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to their recent UEFA-champions-league social and sporting projects going on at the capital club.
One stumbling block that could affect Real Madrid’s negotiation is the value that Borussia Dortmund has placed on Bellingham, as the Yellow and Blacks expect nothing less than 150 million Euros for the midfielder.
Reports indicate that Real Madrid will try to reduce the asking price to around 120 million euros. Bellingham has scored 11 goals and made 7 assists in the German in all competitions
this season as the Yellow and Blacks continue to compete and contend with Bayern Munich, who top the Bundesliga table and lead them with one point.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s chances of winning the La Liga have evaporated after losing 2-0 to Real Sociedad on Tuesday. Carlo Ancelotti played the game without two of his most influential strikers this season as Karim Benzema sat out the game while Vinicius Junior missed out due to suspension.
The Los Blancos would face Osasuna in the Copa Del Rey final this weekend before facing Manchester City in the first leg of their semi-final UEFA-champions-league clash.
