Latest indications have shown that Paris Saint-Germaine have put Brazilian superstar Neymar put up for sale.
The newly crowned Ligue One champions are ready to sell Neymar for £76 million.
That would mean the Ligue 1 club does not mind making a loss on the world-record fee they paid Barcelona for the player in 2017.
The Paris club activated Neymar’s £198 million release clause that summer in a bid to build their team around the Brazilian.
Since moving from Barcelona to the club, the forward has scored 98 times in 141 games.
He has so far, won four league titles, three Coupe de France, and two Coupe de la Ligue trophies.
However, he is yet to help PSG break the Champions League jinx. The closest the club got to was the final two years ago against German champion Bayern Munich.
With Kylian Mbappe also preparing to leave as a free agent this summer, PSG are planning some overhauling,” and Neymar could well be offloaded as a result.
If Neymar leaves Parc de Prince, it means PSG would be making a £122 million loss on Neymar.
The latest information from the marker put Neymar’s value at £81 million in the transfer market.
Meanwhile, Mbappe is expected to join Real Madrid on July 1.
Losing both players at this point on time may be difficult for the team to accept.
But it will be a good thing for a management that wants to revamp the squad and build it around Lionel Messi.
The Argentine has continued to be a menace to most defenders who have found him hard to stop.
This is more of the reason why the club wants to bring in new faces that will compete with the best players.
Messi is at least expected to stay for another year as stipulated on his deal.
The classic goal against Lens that secured the Ligue 1 is a big one from Messi, who is known to produce magic most of the time with his feet.
