Indications have shown that Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain have had a verbal agreement with Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, who might be leaving Camp Nou next summer.
However, some reports have shown that the Frenchman prioritises Barcelona more than the French club.
According to Foot Mercato, Barcelona and Dembélé are looking at ways to soften relations between them after the club ended acrimonious contract negotiations.
Earlier in the week, there was a meeting between the Spanish club and the 24-year-old forward’s agent, Moussa Sissoko. Intending to calm the situation between the parties, both sat on a roundtable, but the Catalan club admitted they made a mistake in halting contract talks. However, no new offers were made, but discussions will continue.
Since Dembélé seems to give priority to talks with Barcelona, he might stay in the club provided the terms are conducted in his favour despite a verbal agreement with PSG ahead of the summer.
Dembele, who had initially turned down major offers from the Premier League too, is therefore yet to decide his future.
In another development, PSG wants to resign Christopher Nkunku amid interest from Arsenal and Barcelona.
This is following a report by Foot Mercato that the Ligue 1 giant are interested in bringing back the midfielder who now plies his trade with RB Leipzig.
It was gathered that the club have met with his agent to discuss a likely transfer as they want to re-sign him this summer.
Nkuku has been on the radar of Arsenal, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Barcelona. The 24-year-old left PSG three years ago and has since flourished in the Bundesliga. he has already scored 16 goals this season.
As the summer draws nearer, it is expected that he will decide his future soon.
