The hardest job on the football pitch is to score goals, which is why strikers are valued so dearly throughout the history of the game. There is no dearth of world class strikers across Europe. Here are 3 forwards who will have an impact in the upcoming Euros:

1) Harry Kane: England have a great squad of young and talented players. While the team is good enough to reach the latter stages of the tournament, they don’t have a lot of world class players. One player who is definitely at the pinnacle of his game is Harry Kane. The Tottenham striker recently won his third golden boot and is in the form of his life. He has also added another creative aspect in his game recently which saw him bagging 14 assists this season. He will have to carry his team if football has to come home this summer.

2) Robert Lewandowski: If there is one striker in the world who makes Harry Kane’s numbers look small, it is Robert Lewandowski. He scored 41 goals in the recently concluded Bundesliga season which broke the all-time record set by Gerd Muller all those years ago. Robert Lewandowski is arguably the best player of the planet right now and if there is one player you want in your team, it is him. Poland don’t have half the squad as some of the bigger European nations, but if Lewandowski has his game face on, it will be a mouth-watering tournament for them.

3) Romelu Lukaku: Just like the aforementioned duo, Romelu Lukaku also had a fantastic league campaign as Inter won the Scudetto. He has always been a prolific goal scorer for Belgium which is supported by him being their all-time top scorer three years ago. Lukaku has a big summer ahead of him as Belgium have an outside chance of clinching silverware. Belgium has some world class players like Lukaku and de Bruyne, but their defensive short comings will be a concern during the latter stages of the tournament. Whatever the outcome is for Belgium, Romelu Lukaku is certain to score a few goals.
