Patson Daka scores four in Leicester City’s Victory in Russia

Zambian forward Patson Daka scored four as Leicester City beat Lokomotive Moscow 4-3 on Wednesday in the Europa League.

The game didn’t particularly start well for the English side as they went behind as early as the 11 minute through Alexander Sobolev.

Sobolev would go on to get a brace in the game but it was Jordan Larsson, who doubled the hosts advantage in the 44th minute.

Daka then scored immediately before the break to half the deficit. He then went on to quickly complete his hattrick on the night early in the second half.

He converted another pass from Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho in the 48th, the former Manchester City forward had provided his first goal in the first half.

Daka then struck six minutes later to complete his hattrick on the night. However, the game was not secured for the Foxes until the 79th when he scored his and Leicester City’s fourth of the night even though Sobolev did create a nervy ending with an 86th minute goal.

Leicester City will face Brentford in the Premier League this weekend, Brighton in the League Cup during the week. That would be followed by a Premier League game against Arsenal, before the return leg at the King Power Stadium.

Meanwhile, West Ham will host Belgian side Genk in the UEFA Europa League, while in the UEFA Europa Conference League Tottenham will travel to the Netherland to face Vittesse.

Meanwhile, Chelsea comfortably dispatched Swedish side Malmo at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday

Andreas Christensen and Jorginho scored in the first half for the Blues to go into the break with a comfortable 2-0 scoreline.

Kai Havertz scored 3 minutes after the break while Jorgihno scored another penalty to complete the 4-0 rout.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a late winner as Manchester United came from behind to beat Atalanta 3-2 at the Old Trafford.
