On Sunday at Olympiastadion Berlin, the Three Lions of England will hope to finally lay their hands on the UEFA European Championship title for the very first time in history, bash the tradition of near misses, and redeem themselves of the loss of the title 4 years ago when England lost to Italy on home soil on penalties.

England has made their second consecutive UEFA Euro Championship finals after beating the Netherlands 2-1 on Wednesday, thanks to a Harry Kane’s penalty in the first half after Xavi Simmons’ 7th-minute opener and a late Ollie Watkins’ strike to book their place alongside Spain in the final.

Substitute Watkins stroked home after a pass from fellow substitute Cole Palmer to push Gareth Southgate through, and after a long tournament for the Chelsea midfielder, who was majorly on the bench in previous games, his influence in the semi-final has made him bullish about England’s chances.

England started the tournament slowly, needing goals to push their way to the final, and now Cole Palmer believes that they can finish off the job they started for England’s first major trophies since the FIFA World Cup in 1966.

While describing the mood after the winner, the Chelsea midfielder revealed that everyone was buzzing on the night in the bus. He admitted that the result was a short turnaround but also a massive game changer on a larger scale. The former Manchester City player believes that team must finish the job in what could be a career-changing moment on Sunday.

“I think if you’ve got to this final, then you have to hopefully finish the job. It’s all good getting to the final, and you’ve got to enjoy it because you don’t get many moments to enjoy. But, no, everyone just wants to win so bad.” Palmer said.

England faces Spain on Sunday in Berlin, with the match expected to kick off at 8:00 p.m. BST. Spain will be hoping to win their fourth European title, and their first since Euro 2012.
