Norwich City followed weekend’s late winner at Wycombe with another late goal as they held hosts Brentford to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday.
It is the fourth match consecutively that the Canaries are scoring a late goal and Kenny McLean’s effort is just as important as the others.
Norwich City needed a late goal in their 2-1 win against Wycombe at the weekend as well.
Brentford’s Ivan Toney, his 100th career goal gave the Bees the lead in the first half; the goal was his 8th in six matches.
The bees should have extended their lead, but Tim Krul was able to save an effort from Henrik Dalsgaard blasted straight at Tim Krul from six yards on the hour mark.
Norwich equalized when Kenny McLean’s off-target shot took a big deflection off Mads Bech Sorensen and past the wrong-footed David Raya.
Daniel Farke’s side is now unbeaten in four matches as they sit fifth on the championship standing. The manager described the draw as a good point, especially coming against a promotion seeking team.
“All in all that’s a good point on the road. Brentford are one of the favourites for promotion, so to be there with a late equaliser, it’s always a good point.” City boss Farke said.
Brentford are still sitting in 11th as they failed to score two goals in a game in just the second game in their last eight matches.
Up next for the Carrow-Road side is a trip to Bristol City on the 31st of October.
Other Champions results saw Watford draw Wycombe 1- while Swansea beat Stoke City 2-0, Middlesbrough beat Coventry 2-0 and Reading beat Blackburn Rovers 4-2.
On Wednesday, Preston will host Millwall, Derby and Cardiff City, Luton Town against Nottingham Forest, Rotherham against Sheffield United, Birmingham and Huddersfield while Bournemouth will host Bristol City.
