Throughout the summer transfer window, Brazilian forward, Neymar wanted a move back to his former Spanish club, Barcelona, however, the two clubs could not agree a deal.
According to some reports, Neymar’s ambition to join his former employee was so high that he wanted to pay the transfer fee in order to complete the move.
However, with the 27-year-old inability to complete the move, Paris Saint-Germain PSG should be glad and joyous.
The club has not been having a bad time on the pitch without their Brazilian forward. However, he remains the club most prized asset. Kylian Mbappe might have stepped up in difficult times, but sometimes in a football match, you need the most experienced player on the pitch.
Neymar’s ability to dictate match during its difficult time is one of the reasons Thomas Tuchel should be glad that the Brazilian is still at his disposal. Neymar can create chances, score goals from impossible angles as well as create havoc to the opposition defense.
Assuming Paris Saint-Germain have agreed on a fee with Barcelona for Neymar, the recent injury to Mbappe and Cavanni would have caused instability in the team. But with the Brazilian still in the PSG team, they will still compete for silverware without Mbappe.
Neymar showed what he’s made of when he made his first appearance this season in a friendly match for Brazil where he scored one and created one assist.
What’s left for the Brazilian is to settle things with the Fans whom he has offended with his antics during the transfer window.
Barcelona knows the worth of the most expensive player in football history as they wanted him at all cost, listing the likes of Rakitic, Coutinho, Semedo in the deal.
With this kind of eagerness in the Spanish Giant to secure such player, Paris Saint-Germain should be glad they can still boast of having him in their ranks.
Paris Saint-Germain are eager to win the Champions League this season, and with Neymar in their team, there’s an assurance that such feat could be achieved by the end of the season.
PSG have a strong squad and are available at 11.25 to win the UEFA Champions League this season.
