FC Barcelona has made a big priority to resign Brazilian forward Neymar as Josep Bartomeu plans to reinforce his team.
The team has identified a number of transfer targets to bolster the squad in some areas especially as he wants to finish his time in 2021 as the president of Barcelona with a trophy and he sees the Paris Saint Germain forward as the key to the project.
However, such a deal will stretch the budget of the club and cost the Catalan a fee in the region of 150 Million Euros to 180 Million Euros in transfer fee while the Brazilian is expected to rake in 70 million Euros yearly.
A Neymar move will be reflective and affect other potential transfers to the club for other players with a striker in the plans for the club to sign.
Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez is top of that list at a cost in the region of 110 million euros, a fee that could hinder the paying power of Barcelona for Neymar.
Alternatively, RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner is a decent and cheaper option as the German who has had a big season at the side is rated at 60 Million Euros.
The central defence is another aspect of the team that needs reinforcement after French defender, Samuel Umtiti failed to post confidence-inspiring for the majority of the season.
Gerard Pique is now also in the tail of his career and his best years has been seen while plans are in place to get two full-backs.
Barcelona are currently on top of the La Liga standings with 58 points with 2 points ahead of Real Madrid albeit the La Liga has been postponed due to Covid-19.
They are also in contention for the UEFA Champions League with the second leg of their R16 clash with Napoli still to be played with a 1-1 aggregate scoreline.
