Celtic manager Neil Lennon has been advised to follow the steps of Brendan Rodgers- the club’s former manager. The Hoops have witnessed a downturn in form recently but are hoping to bounce back this weekend. There have been feeling in the club that the manager should adopt some of the approaches used by Rodgers when he was at the club. Though every manager has his tactics, the fans feel some changes need to be made.
By the time Celtic’s Ryan Christie makes his return from suspension after the Aberdeen game in a few weeks, Lennon should consider adopting some steps which brought Celtic much success for a stage last season.
This will automatically mean dropping skipper Scott Brown on the bench for some time, but it could pay off in the long run.
The footsteps to success will be a midfield trio of Christie, Tom Rogic, and Callum McGregor. For this to work e, Rogic has to deal with his injury problems this season. However, when he is fit, he is more than capable of being Celtic’s effectively most crucial player.
Rogic, Christie, and McGregor, who comprised of the midfield department last season, put in some incredible be performances for the Hoops last season. They help the team hammer Hearts 5-0 and Kilmarnock 5-1, respectively. They played some fluid attacking football that was missing for much of last season in those fixtures and others the trio started.
Unfortunately, the midfield didn’t last, and Scott Brown won his place back in the side, which paid off in the end as the Hoops won the treble. The season is still young, and Celtic needs some good performances to get results after some under-par performances in the league.
