Former France and Arsenal winger, Samir Nasri has urged Paris Sainte-Germain star Kylian Mbappe to stay with the Ligue 1 champions.
The former Man City player has therefore urged Mbappe to snub a move to Real Madrid next summer in favour of extending his stay at PSG.
Mbappe has been at loggerheads with the Paris club after stating that he won’t extend his stay at the club beyond next summer, and PSG 2ere not prepared to lose him for free.
Thus, the club accepted a huge offer for the 24-year-old, who turned down the proposal, saying his decision to leave was not about money.
Mbappe has never hidden his admiration for Los Blancos, and he has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu for several years.
Looking at the situation of things, the 2018 World Cup winner will finally have the chance to complete the transfer as a free agent when his contract in Paris expires this summer.
But Nasri has urged the France skipper to remain in Ligue 1, adding that the 24-year-old’s achievements with his boyhood club would always outweigh anything he could do in Spain.
Admitting that his departure will leave a big hole in the squad.
“But with the budget, they will be able to recruit other players – who will not be Mbappe, that is clear.’ He told JDD via Le10Sport.
‘But today, he has such importance, whether in the French team or with his club. Already two years ago, I said he was the best player in the world. I still think so.
The PSG forward has been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes next summer, having penned a lucrative two-year contract extension with an option for a third in 2022.
