Juventus has received a double boost on the likely return to action of Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata.
Their pair have been on the sideline. Dybala, who had been enjoying some playing time since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to be at least on the bench for the Serie A clash against Roma. He could be joined by Morata, who has made quicker progress in his recovery.
Both had been out due to muscular injuries during the victory over Sampdoria last month.
Dybala, whose nickname is La Joya had a less serious issue to his left thigh. He is therefore widely tipped to be on the bench this weekend.
The news became a double joy for the Turin giant after it emerged that the Spanish striker has also been training with more advanced exercises than predicted at this stage.
He might not get some minute against Jose Mourinho’s men but could be in line for the Champions League clash with Zenit St Petersburg next week.
This is good news for Juventus as Morata who is still ahead of schedule was expected to back to action for the meeting against Inter on October 24.
Meanwhile, Adrien Rabiot has been ruled out of the tie after testing positive for COVID-19 while on international duty with France.
Meanwhile, all Juventus players, except their South Americans are yet to return to the Continassa training centre from international duty. According to the latest picture released from the club’s training ground, all Italy players on Juventus payroll are back in camp alongside Dejan Kulusevski, Matthijs de Ligt, Wojciech Szczesny and Aaron Ramsey.
Juventus is currently occupying the 7th spot after seven games with 11 points after losing their first two games.
They will have to face another hurdle against the Gialorossi to prove their title credentials.
