AC Milan have indicated no interest in Juventus outcast Federico Chiesa. This follows the visit of Fali Ramadani, the winger’s agent, to Milan, where he offered his client’s services in recent days, but the club rejected the approach.
The 26-year-old Italian winger’s future at the Turin club remains in doubt as the new Serie A season fast approaches.
Juventus have already made it clear that he has no future in Thiago Motta’s squad. This has forced him to quickly find a new home, as Ramadani flew to London to hold talks with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham, but neither made a definitive move for Chiesa.
He has also been linked with a move to Roma following their previous interest, but the capital club is yet to make a move for the Italian winger.
The report from La Gazzetta dello Sport via Twitter mentioned that Ramadani recently contacted Milan to offer Chiesa, but the club rejected the approach as they are uninterested in a move for the winger this month.
Reports indicate that the Rossoneri are prepared to accept his €6m net per season salary demands and do not want to disrupt the hierarchy in the dressing room.
This development also appears to have discouraged Roma, although the situation could change in the upcoming weeks.
In the meantime, Milan forward Noah Okafor has been rumored to be involved in a potential transfer to Roma as part of a player exchange deal with Giallorossi striker Tammy Abraham.
Milan are seeking additional attacking reinforcements after acquiring Alvaro Morata, as Okafor has been playing a somewhat peripheral role.
However, it seems that they now prefer to retain the Switzerland international, who can contribute in various attacking positions.
The situation involves deciding whether Roma’s Abraham, who has been suggested as a possible target, will leave Stadio Olimpico.
He was the only top out-and-out striker last season after Lukaku left at the end of his loan deal.
According to reports, Roma wants offers in the region of €25m-€30m for Abraham, having recently signed Artem Dovbyk from Girona.
Milan, however, hopes to reduce the asking price even further. Reports mention that Okafor is being considered as a potential pawn in negotiations with Roma, but Milan would prefer to keep hold of the former RB Salzburg attacker heading into the 2024/25 campaign.
