Ac Milan will not move further to sign AS Roma forward, Nicolo Zaniolo. This latest report follows Bournemouth’s offer.
Gianluca Di Marzio had pointed the Diavolo as the front-runner to sign the talented Italian international.
There are just three more days to the end of the winter transfer window.
Zaniolo, who seems unhappy at Rome, had asked the Giallorossi to put him on the transfer market this month.
But the offers received by Roma have been different from what they what. Roma wants a definitive deal worth close to €30m, and they are ruling out any temporary loan offers.
According to the update released by Di Marzio, Milan have informed Roma that they are not willing to make a move for Zaniolo at this stage, as they are unwilling to match Bournemouth’s offer of €30m plus add-ons and a future resale clause.
Having met their valuation, the Giallorossi have already accepted the Premier League club’s offer. They are now waiting to see if Zaniolo will give the green light for a deal.
Although this could be against his as the 23-year-old prefers staying in Italy. As things stand, Milan’s withdrawal may push him to reconsider a move to the Premier League.
Zaniolo has a year and six months left on his current Roma deal and has scored two goals in 17 appearances this season for the club.
The present situation has left the 23-year-old forward trying to figure out a transfer to the Cherries.
Bournemouth are battling relegation in the Premier League. They also have the second-worst attack in the league, having only scored 15 goals in their first 18 games of the league season.
Should he decide to join the team, which is obviously against his wish, Zaniolo will have to help Bournemouth secure their first win in 2023. The last time they won in the league was on November 12, before the World Cup break
