PSG is the second most expensive squad in the world, with an estimated value of 998.95 million euros. The club has superstars like Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and newcomers Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi.
But having so many stars together can be tricky. And it seems that the egos of the superstars begin to collide.
In a recent interview with L’Equipe the French striker Kylian Mbappe admitted that the relations between the players are not very good.
Mbappe was ready to leave the French club and move to Real Madrid in the summer. Real sent two bids for the player, one for £ 137million and one for £ 154m. However, PSG did not accept any and stated that they were not interested in releasing the player.
The problem is that Mbappe wanted to leave the club. In the interview, Mbappe said: “Before the Euros, I told Paris Saint-Germain that I didn’t want to renew, and after the Euros I said I wanted to leave. My ambition was really for everyone to move forward hand in hand, the selling club, the buying club and me.
“I was NOT changing my mind because of Leo Messi arrival… it’s a privilege, he’s great but I don’t make decisions on sudden impulses. I had made my decisions and I had thought long and hard about it.
“When I say leave, I’m talking about Real Madrid. Real made an offer. I thought that my time at PSG was over. Leaving was the logical next step.
“Other clubs? NO. I am attached to Paris, and if I had left this summer it would have only been for Real. ”
It seems that Mbappe’s frustration at leaving the club translates into a tense relationship with his teammates.
The player has had confrontations with Neymar and even called him a tramp for not passing the ball during a recent match.
Also, in the interview, Mbappe stated that the arrival of Messi has not changed anything, and the player does not have a real impact on the club.
