It seems that everything is ready for Erik ten Hag to take the reins of the red devils.
Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for Erik ten Hag to become their new manager.
The current Ajax boss is reportedly leaving his post at the club at the end of the season to move to the city of Manchester.
At the moment the agreement is only verbal between the parties since Manchester United needs to finalize some details and documents. According to information published by The Athletic, the red devils have to reach an agreement with Ajax since Ten Hag has a contract in force until the summer of 2023.
The proposal of the ‘red devils’ is that Ten Hag signs a four-year contract, allowing the transfer of his entire coaching staff to the north of England so that he can start building the new Manchester United project.
This means that Chris Armas, Ewan Sharp, and Sascha Lense, who were all brought in by Rangnick, will leave at the end of the season.
Mike Phelan, who returned to the club last year under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, previously assistant manager to Sir Alex Ferguson, is also likely to depart.
From the Old Trafford offices, the probable arrival of Ten Hag is being observed with hope. Since taking over the Ajax bench in December 2017 has consolidated a winning project with an associative and attacking game plan. Under Ten Had Ajax reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019 and has won the Eredivisie title in 2019 and 2021. His side are currently four points ahead at the top of the Eredivisie table.
