Premier League side Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing Everton and Brazilian forward Richarlison.
The Red Devils have struggled in front of goal, with Cristiano Ronaldo being the team’s major striking option this season under Ralf Rangnick.
Manchester United is hoping to rebuild with younger players after going five years without a trophy. They still have Uruguayan forward Edison Cavani, who may leave at the end of the season.
Marcus Rashford has not had an exactly spectacular season, and Richarlison seems a good spot, especially with the possibility that Everton could get relegated at the end of the season.
However, it’s not expected that Richarlison’s price tag will be cheaper even if Everton gets relegated, and neither will United have it easy in signing the Brazilian star.
This is because Carlo Ancellotti, who left Everton for Real Madrid, has been linked with bringing the Brazilian to the Santiago Bernabeu while Barcelona is also being linked.
Meanwhile, Richarlison has scored just four goals and three assists in twenty Premier League games this season as the Toffees struggle to avoid the drop into the championship.
Everton, now led by Frank Lampard, is in 17th with 25 points, three more than Watford, who has played two games more than Everton.
Manchester United is engulfed in the battle for European spots in the Premier League as they sit in sixth with 50 points from 29 matches played.
They are four points behind Arsenal, who sit in fourth with 54 points, albeit Spurs is sandwiched between both sides in the fifth position.
Manchester United’s last game was a 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, which effectively knocked them out of the competition with a 2-1 aggregate scoreline.
The next time the Red Devils will be in action will be in April, when they play Leicester City on the 2nd of April after the international break.
