Manchester United have confirmed a huge injury blow for the team. I have their matchday 3 Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford after the Red Devils new released an injury update about English midfielder Mason Mount who they have confirmed will be out of action for the next two games.
Mason Mount joined Manchester United from London club Chelsea in the summer for a fee of around £ 55 million and has started their first two Premier League games of the season with little contribution in front of goal.
The club confirmed that Mount sustained a knock in the 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, which will see him miss Manchester United’s next two games, including this weekend’s home game against Nottingham Forest.
“Mason Mount is set to miss Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur. The small complaint is expected to keep Mount out until the international break next month. The England midfielder has started both of our Premier League games so far this season after making his competitive debut for the club in last week’s 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.” The statement read.
Manchester United have started the season with a win against Wolves on the opening matchday and a 2-0 loss to Spurs this weekend. However, the club must get his season back on track with wins against Nottingham Forest and a trip to Arsenal after that meanwell Mason Mount’s injury would also really out of England’s Euro 2024 qualifiers in the next international break.
The 24-year-old is one of Manchester United’s summer signings, including goalkeeper Andre Onana and striker Rasmus Hojlund. The club may have allowed some players to leave at the end of last season and during the summer, but they are still ready to allow Mason Greenwood also depart the club aftermath of their decision on the player.
