It has been reported that Kylian Mbappe wants to leave PSG Saint-Germain in the upcoming transfer window in January after his broken relationship with the club. In fact, the Frenchman had earlier also shown interest to move to Real Madrid but then went on to sign a new contract extension with the Parisians in May.
However, as per the sources at ESPN, Mbappe is not happy at the club as the youngster thinks that sporting director Luis Campos, president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and manager Christophe Galtier have not kept their promises.
Furthermore, sources also confirm that Mbappe thinks he made a mistake after renewing his contract with the club.
“I am very surprised because I spend all my days with Kylian Mbappe, and he never once asked me or the president to leave in January,” Campos told RMC Sport.
“We have to be very clear that this isn’t a declaration — it is news that has come out a few hours before a very important match against Benfica.
“As for me, I have a three-year contract at PSG and I am very happy to be here, in this place — and I work every day so that I can fulfill my ambitions at the end of my contract.”
On the other hand, Mbappe’s teammate Sergio Ramos feels we shouldn’t jump to conclusions amid such speculations.
“I see him [Mbappe] very happy,” Ramos said. “I enjoy playing with him and his friendship. If he has to say something he will say it. And he just renewed his contract. We have to stay away from the reports that are going around since we don’t know if they are true
After France had beaten Austria in the UEFA Nations League in September, Mbappe revealed that he has more freedom with the national team than he has at PSG.
“‘What they ask of me here is different,” Mbappe said. “Here, I have much more freedom than at PSG.
“The coach knows that there is a ‘9,’ like [Olivier] Giroud, and so I can move and go into space. In Paris it is different — they ask me to play pivot, although I enjoy [playing] everywhere.”
