Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stated that his team will focus on the FA Cup replay against Wolves on Tuesday rather than dwelling on the 3-0 loss to Brighton at the weekend.
The Reds fell abysmally away from home at the weekend to the Seagulls but will have to quickly pick up to face Wolves in a replay of their FA Cup tie.
The first leg of the third round tie controversially ended 2-2 at the Molineux Stadium after a third Wolves goal was denied for offside without any VAR intervention.
However, the German manager is happy for a second chance for the FA Cup and stated that the team is preparing for it even though losing at the weekend was not too good.
“Losing a game in the way we lost it is already bad enough. Of course, two days after now, everything looks different. It doesn’t make the game better, but obviously, the next game is waiting, and that’s the good thing in our life that there’s always the next chance. That’s what we are preparing for. The issues we had in that game were obvious, and I explained it already, parts of it at least after, that we try to find a different organisation, and that didn’t work out.” Klopp said.
Liverpool is currently ninth on the table and will face Chelsea in the Premier League next weekend as both sides are separated only by goals difference as the Blues sit in 10th.
Meanwhile, there are five other FA Cup replay ties on Tuesday which includes:
