Italian media have reported that Juventus are making moves to sign unhappy Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee and Chelsea defender Axel Disasi.
Zirkzee, who was on top form at Bologna before completing a summer move to the Red Devils, would be happy to reunite with his mentor, Thiago Motta, in Turin.
According to Tuttosport newspaper, Juventus are hoping to sign the ex-Bologna striker on loan in the January transfer window.
Tuttosport newspaper further reported that the Old Lady directors are closely monitoring the striker’s situation at Old Trafford and have continued talks with his agent over the last few days.
Zirkzee, who has been struggling for playing time this season, was substituted barely 50 minutes in Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Bournemouth.
Ruben Amorim’s decision reportedly sparked the frustration of many Manchester United fans, who strongly criticized the striker on social media after the match.
Tuttosport said that based on the current situation, the Red Devils directors may consider Zirkzee’s January exit, even on loan, with the hope that see the 23-year-old prove his worth elsewhere and help the club preserve the significant investment they made over the summer to sign him from Bologna.
Meanwhile, Juventus is not only chopping for a striker in the market as they are considering signing Chelsea defender, Disasi in January.
The Italian media reported that the Old Lady has confirmed at least one defender will arrive. This is following comments made by director Cristiano Giuntoli severally that the Bianconeri will make investments mid-season to bolster their defense.
This is due to the long layoff of both Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal ruled out for six months by anterior cruciate ligament injuries.
Although Feyenoord’s David Hancko seems to be their first choice, Antonio Silva of Benfica is a more expensive option.
The 26-year-old center-back has plenty of experience but has lost his place at Chelsea since Enzo Maresca took over in the summer.
Chelsea signed him for €45m from Monaco to sign Disasi from AS Monaco in 2023. Juve and Bayern Munich are also ready to sign the unhappy France international.
Having started all their Conference League games, the defender made only three Premier League starts and spent many of them on the bench.
Juventus are now waiting to pounce as they have made an approach to ask for information from Chelsea about him.
