The club said in a statement on its website that the Dutch international is ready “for this exciting new adventure in black and white.”
Koopmeiners made a name for himself and became one of the most exciting players in the Italian league. He scored 26 goals from 97 Serie A appearances from his attacking midfield role during his three seasons with Atalanta.
Before switching to Atalanta, he scored 43 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions with AZ Alkmaar.
