According to reports from Scotland, there could be expectations that Celtic right back Josip Juranovic will leave the club.
Further reports regarding this transfer were also confirmed by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who revealed via his Twitter account that the Croatian international would leave the club as he has become a target by many Premier League clubs.
Since his arrival, Juranovic has become a sensational signing under manager Ange Postecoglou. He plugged himself straight into the right-back role cementing the position and delivering top-notch performances.
With just his first season with the Hoops, he went on to win the SPFL title and League Cup, and this brilliant display has drawn the attention of other clubs around Europe, most especially clubs in the EPL.
The exit of Juranovic will be a big blow to the fans, club, and Postecoglou, including their pre-season preparations for the new SPFL campaign ahead.
The versatile 26-year-old has amassed a total of 32 appearances scoring five goals in the process.
The former Legia Warsaw man is still contracted to the Celts till 2026. However, a huge transfer fee will be demanded by the Celtic board as they are in no rush to sell the defender.
Going by these latest developments, Celtic must be active in the transfer market to get a quality replacement should the transfer finally happens. Fingers crossed in the coming weeks as to how things unfold.
Another news making the rounds is the club’s attempt to approach Portuguese side Benfica for the permanent signing of Jota.
The winger who is currently on loan has impressed Celtic so far, and there are possibilities of securing his services permanently as both clubs look to agree on a deal.
Celtic resume their pre-season preparations on the 13th of July as they travel to face Czech Republic-based Banik Ostrava with a tie against Blackburn three days later at the Celtic Park.
