Chelsea are a revolving door of managers, and the club have failed to establish a definitive man in charge.
Julian Nagelsmann was rumored to be the first choice to take over the club next season. From the club’s board, they were very confident that the German would agree to move to Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano reported that both the German coach and the club had many talks about reaching an agreement. However, nothing was achieved due to lack of time, as Nagelsmann wanted to plan his future. In addition, both had very different points of view on crucial issues.
When asked by SkySports about the reason why he discarded Chelsea, Nagelsmman only replied, “To cancel something, you have to commit to something.”
Apparently, Nagelsmman does not like the little commitment the club has shown with his coaches, and he would be looking to join a project that allows him to work long-term.
Faced with Nagelsmma’s refusal, Chelsea would be knocking on the doors of Mauricio Pochettino, who has not led since he was fired from PSG last season.
Todd Boehly, the owner of Chelsea, has been harshly criticized for the situation the club is going through since the magnate has shown poor administrative skills and seems to believe that spending millions of dollars on players is the solution to create a competitive club.
In fact, the fans are not at all happy with Boehly’s management, and it has been seen on several occasions how they confront him in the stands of Stamford Bridge. Faced with this situation, the tycoon has to choose the club’s next coach very well to calm the fans’ anger.
