Javi Martinez set to leave Bayern, while Boateng will stay

Following different local reports in Germany, it looks highly likely that Bayern Midfielder Javi Martinez will exit the club this summer while Jerome Boateng is set to remain.

Both players aged 31 have been with the Bavarians for over ten years and have had a memorable time playing for the club.

Bayern has decided regarding Javi Martinez’s future as the club is set to ship him out this simmer. The Spaniard’s contract expires next summer [2021], looking at his form under previous manager Niko Kovac and new manager, Hansi Flick, as he has found a considerable number of minutes had to come by with a lot of injuries hampering his career.

Martinez has previously revealed in the past that he could see himself playing in other countries, possibly in America or Australia. There are even possibilities that he could return to his native club in Spain with his boyhood club Osasuna B team and Athletico Bilbao before he made a move to Germany.

Following Bayern’s acquisition of PSG starlet Tanguy Nianzou. This is a sign that they are set for replacement as the young player is a like for like replacement as a holding midfielder

As for Boateng, there is a convincing sign that he will remain with the Munich based club after his resurging form recently under manager Hans Flick. He has been solid at the back and oversees coordination at the backline of the defense. Reports have indicated he will see out the remainder of his contract.
