Lionel Messi has said he enjoys and appreciates everything more as he admitted he is at the fag end of his career. The Argentine laid his hands on the most prestigious trophy of his career when he won the FIFA World Cup in 2022.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi landed in Ft. Lauderdale on Tuesday with his family for the unveiling ceremony to be hosted by his new MLS club, Inter Miami CF, on Sunday. Sergio Busquets will be unveiled at the same ceremony by the club.
Messi said he is going to give his best to the new club and his mentality is not going to change.
“My mentality and my head are not going to change and I am going to try, wherever I have to be, give my best for myself and my new club, continue to perform at the highest level,” Messi told the Argentina TV show, Llave a la eternidad.
Speaking of his family moving to the United States, he added: “We are happy with the decision we made. Prepared and eager to face the new challenge, the new change.”
Messi revealed he feels content with his accomplishments throughout his glorious career.
The talisman said in an interview with Television Publica, “Now I enjoy and appreciate everything more because I realize that these are the last years and when I retire I will appreciate everything more.”
La Pulga feels it is not always about winning but more about giving your best irrespective of the results and never giving up on your dreams.
“Now almost at the end of my career to finish in this way as a champion of everything is something I’m enjoying immensely.
“I learned it’s not only about winning, but the journey itself also teaches valuable life lessons and I believe that desire to achieve, the willingness to try, especially when things may or may not work out is crucial. Never give up on your dreams.”
