Former Manchester United forward Robin van Persie has showered praise on Marcus Rashford, who has been in prolific form in the ongoing season for Red Devils. In fact, Rashford didn’t have a great run in the previous edition but he has been able to turn the tables under Erik Ten Hag.
The 25-year-old has scored 27 goals and provided nine assists in 44 games across competitions for the club in the ongoing season. Thus, he has played a key role in the success of the team.
The former Dutch international told Manchester United’s website, “Rashford looks to have fun. He’s on a mission now. Everyone knew from an early age, because he broke through from a very early age; everyone knew how good of a player he was – and still is of course – but now you see that everything clicks, and that is partly down to him, but as well a coach, and, as well, your team-mates.”
Rashford has formed a good chemistry with skipper Bruno Fernandes, who has provided six assists to the striker in the ongoing season.
Speaking about the duo partnership on the pitch, Persie said, “If you look at the connection he has with Fernandes, for example, that is something unique. You only have that connection with a few players throughout your career. And he has that now. He is like going from strength to strength.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently in third place in the standings with 15 wins in 26 matches and they have a total of 50 points under their belt.
On the other hand, as per the reports, Manchester United are supposed to be targeting Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muan. Randal has confirmed that he is looking to join a big club.
He told L’Equipe: “We talk about it a lot already, but I try to be focused on my club. We continue our performances, and we will see this summer. Afterwards, I always dreamed of playing in big clubs.”
“I thought I was going to need some time to adapt, maybe a year. But everything exploded. Either way, I’m ready for any challenge. I ask the club to get me my statistics on my matches each time.
